Rachel and Grant’s Estate on the Halifax wedding felt truly magical from start to finish. This Converse-loving, book-nerd couple even added a subtle nod to Tolkien, which made their day even more special.
The day began much like many weddings do. Rachel prepared for the day while beautiful details came together around her. Their wedding colors featured mixed and matched shades of blue, creating a soft and romantic palette throughout the celebration. Of course, one detail stood out immediately. The couple’s beloved Converse shoes played a starring role…complete with a sweet message on the soles!
However, the day quickly became even more meaningful when Rachel and Grant shared a private first look. We met in the Estate’s lush garden area, one of the most magical corners of the property. There, the couple took a quiet moment together before the ceremony. During this time, they also exchanged personal vows. As they read their heartfelt words, emotions naturally followed. A few happy tears made the moment even more beautiful and genuine.
Soon after, everyone gathered beneath the Estate’s iconic oak tree for the official ceremony. Surrounded by friends and family, Rachel and Grant exchanged vows once more. A rope-tying ceremony symbolized the joining of their lives together. Then, with cheers from loved ones, they exited the altar through a tunnel of floating bubbles and shared a romantic kiss down the aisle.
Following the ceremony, we moved into portraits. First came family portraits, then the full wedding party. Naturally, every pair of Converse joined the celebration in these photos. Finally, we spent time capturing newlywed portraits around the property.A sword even made a second appearance, adding another playful and magical touch.
Later, everyone gathered inside the Tavern for dinner, dancing, and celebration. The night ended with a glowing sparkler exit, the perfect finale to an unforgettable wedding day.
