I pulled up in front of Mario & Theresa’s house for getting ready portraits, and a lady greeted me on the porch. “Hello, I’m the b*#@! of honor!” she proclaimed… and I knew right then and there that this wedding would be AWESOME!!! I love people that don’t take themselves too seriously, and have FUN on their big day. Tears are great, especially from a photographic standpoint. But if (when) I get married, I hope that I can go into it with such a happy and exuberant energy as these guys!
After her memorable introduction, the maid of honor proceeded to fill me in on a little back story for our two love birds. They had met not very long ago! And while at first our bride wasn’t so sure that this motorcycle loving gentleman would be her forever partner, he quickly grew on her… in part because our maid of honor proclaimed “He IS the right one! you need to give him a chance and you’ll see.” It turned out she was right. In the matter of a few months, our couple realized what they had was truly special. When you find the right one, why wait?? Hence where I come in, photographing their big day as they made it official, in what was one of the most amazing beach ceremonies I’ve seen!
That’s not to say the day went without a hitch… we had to dodge a few raindrops, chase away a few too close bystanders on the beach, and when the hook on Theresa’s gown broke, Mario swooped by in his truck with safety pins to save the day! Mario to the rescue!!! With the gown fixed, and the rain stopped, we were able to get our couple down the aisle. I got to photograph them with the “Daytona Beach” sign before we jetted over to Joe’s Crab Shack for the reception. Dancing, tacos, and some more pictures under the jetty, and our photo coverage was over. But I’m SO happy we were able to be a part of such a beautiful love story of two beautiful people! We wish you all the happiness in the world, and thank you for choosing us to be a part of your big day. (And a special shout out to our lovely maid of honor for making it all happen! 🙂 )
