Karina and Jonathan became husband and wife on a perfect day in a beautiful city. Their St Augustine White Room Wedding was truly one of my favorites… and I’ve shot a ton of weddings.
First of all, when we arrived at the getting ready location, everything was zen. The huge living area was bright and open. And the patio doors let a beautiful breeze and the ocean air waft through the house. Our bride and her bridesmaids were cool, calm, and collected. It was truly one of the most pleasant pre-ceremony spots I’ve seen.
Fast forward a few hours, and we’re at the St Augustine White Room wedding venue. So… this place is one of my favs. It’s so elegant, and sits conveniently in the heart of the historic city. There, our bride got into her gown, and we set up the first look. While not traditional, first looks are becoming extremely popular. And frankly, we love them! These intimate moments before the ceremony allow our bride and groom to see each other for the first time. In addition to alleviating some of the nerves, it also gets us some great photo opportunities.
Next, it was time for the vows. This ceremony took place on the beautiful White Room rooftop, overlooking the Bridge of Lions over the Matanzas river. After the ceremony, we were able to take our newlyweds to the bridge for a stunning portrait session.
With the vows exchanged, the pictures taken, and dinner served, our couple danced the night away. We ended our coverage with a beautiful and dramatic sparkler exit. We couldn’t be happier to have been chosen to be your Florida wedding photographer. From all of us, we wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
