Lissa and Kameron’s vegan animal sanctuary wedding was like something out of a Disney movie. Rooterville Animal Sanctuary, home to hundreds of rescued animals, made for the perfect backdrop. As a lifelong vegetarian, this celebration truly touched my heart.

Lissa got ready in the venue’s charming covered wagon. Just steps away, the ceremony site waited. Friends and family gathered as the couple exchanged heartfelt vows under the open sky. It was beautiful, emotional, and filled with joy.
After the ceremony, we wandered the grounds for portraits. Pigs, floofy cows, and a teeny tiny baby deer all made appearances. Each animal seemed to understand the love surrounding them. The couple laughed, cuddled animals, and soaked in every moment. We may or may not have lost the bouquet to one hungry cow.
Next, everyone headed to the reception tent. Guests relaxed and shared stories over plates of incredible vegan food. The stuffed shells were especially unforgettable—some of the best I’ve ever had! Every dish was prepared with care and compassion, matching the day’s spirit perfectly.
The location, the animals, the food—it all felt deeply intentional and authentic. Lissa and Kameron created a celebration that honored their values and community. This wasn’t just a wedding; it was a beautiful act of love and kindness.
Rooterville’s unique charm, combined with the couple’s heartfelt vision, made this day truly special. I was so honored to be a part of this vegan animal sanctuary wedding that prioritized so many of my own beliefs. I wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, and furry friends!
