Some weddings are grand celebrations with hundreds of guests. Others are beautifully simple. Emma & Chris’ Daytona Beach elopement proved there are no rules when it comes to your wedding day.
These two traveled all the way from Australia to say “I do” on Florida’s coast. They chose an intimate ceremony with nothing but the ocean and each other. It was the perfect reflection of their relationship.
The beach was packed with Fourth of July visitors. It didn’t matter one bit. Emma and Chris exchanged heartfelt vows as waves crashed behind them.
After the ceremony, we wandered down Daytona Beach for newlywed portraits. We laughed through the crowds and embraced the fun energy of the holiday weekend. The result was a collection of joyful, beachy portraits that perfectly captured their adventure.
Next, we made our way to the Estate on the Halifax for a completely different atmosphere. The lush gardens and winding pathways created a romantic backdrop for more portraits. It was the perfect contrast to the bright, open beach. Having both locations gave them an incredible variety of images from their wedding day.
Emma and Chris reminded everyone that weddings don’t have to follow tradition. Your day can be as big or as small as you want. It can happen in your hometown or on the other side of the world. The only thing that matters is celebrating your love in a way that feels true to you.
