Sometimes wedding plans change, but the new plan turns out to be exactly where you were meant to be! Shirley & Bernard’s Jacksonville wedding is a great example!
Our couple had originally planned their wedding at Crystal Ballroom Daytona. However, when those plans fell through, they had to make a quick pivot. Thankfully, they found a beautiful new wedding venue in Jacksonville. In the end, it was absolutely perfect for their celebration!
I started the afternoon with Shirley at her hotel for a quiet pre-ceremony session with her mom. The beautiful hotel room created such a peaceful atmosphere. With just the two of them there, we had time to slow down and enjoy the moment. Later, we met up with her bridesmaids at the venue and got ready for the ceremony.
Meanwhile, my second photographer met Bernard and his groomsmen at the venue. They had plenty of time for some fun portraits before guests began arriving.
Soon, it was time to get married!
The venue’s gorgeous gold décor glimmered as Bernard waited at the altar for his bride. Then, surrounded by their family and friends, Shirley and Bernard exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife.
Afterward, we headed into portraits. One of the most meaningful moments was incorporating a sentimental photograph of Shirley’s dad. It was a beautiful way to include him in such an important part of their celebration.
Finally, it was time to party! Heartfelt toasts kicked off the reception, followed by dinner and plenty of dancing.
We had an absolutely wonderful time celebrating Shirley and Bernard and their Jacksonville wedding. Their day was also a perfect reminder that sometimes plans change. What matters most is finding a new path forward and celebrating the love that brought everyone together in the first place.
